Role Purpose
The purpose of the Finance Project Manager role is to plan, coordinate and execute projects across:
Mergers & Acquisitions
Post Acquisition Integration
Payment Technology Transformation
The Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating end-to-end project delivery ensuring benefit realisation within a clear delivery timeframe. The role ensures projects are executed in line with strategic objectives, managing risks, timelines and stakeholder alignment throughout the process.
This is a hands-on role and is suited for someone who wants to get stuck in and is comfortable managing several projects.
This is a fixed term contract for 18 months with a view to becoming permanent.
Accountabilities of the Role
Project Planning & Governance – Defining the project scope, timeline & milestones
Project Management & Delivery- Tracking and reporting project status to key stakeholders. Co-ordinating internal workstreams including finance, legal, HR, operations, and IT
Communication – Establishing clear communication channels between internal & external stakeholders
Integration Management - Leading post transaction integration, planning and execution
Stakeholder Management - Working closely with the directors and senior management of Cornmarket and third parties
Risk & Issue Management - Identifying& mitigating of potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
Compliance - Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal governance requirements
M&A Research & Due Diligence coordination - Co-ordinating research and evaluation of potential M&A targets
Skills & Knowledge Required
Project Management Qualification e.g PRINCE2, PMP
Finance Qualification e.g ACCA, ACA, CIMA
Experience of SAP (Desirable)
5+ years of project management experience, ideally in M&A. Proven track record of managing complex, cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Experience of M&A processes and activities and familiarity with due diligence processes
Familiarity with legal, financial and operational aspects of financial services
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
Strong organisational skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
