Role Purpose
As the Head of Estate Planning, you will be responsible for building and leading Cornmarket’s Estate planning offering. This a new service that Cornmarket is developing for its customer base.
You will be responsible for end-to-end client engagement from leads management to the delivery of the estate planning products. This a key leadership role for Cornmarket as we seek to expand the financial advisory services offered to new and existing customers. The successful applicant will be an experienced client tax advisor focusing on preparing tax plans for client’s estates, discussing tax planning options with clients, and the submission of the relevant tax returns.
Ideally the successful candidate will be CTA and STEP qualified and be able to bring a wealth of experience to the Cornmarket Tax Return Services team.
Accountabilities of the Role
Provision of value-add estate planning advice.
Preparation of CAT returns.
Provision of advice on the fair deal scheme.
Provision of advice on the construct of trusts.
Liaise with the Revenue on behalf of clients.
End to end process delivery design.
Training of Tax Advisors.
Building a relationship with Financial Advisors.
Presenting at financial advice seminars.
Having a professional and empathetic approach to customer queries.
Complying with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.
Maintaining commercial awareness relevant to this role.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Experience developing tailored estate plans maximising the benefit to the customer
CTA qualification from The Irish Tax Institute
Ideally a member of STEP Ireland
Knowledge of the relevant tax laws
Strong analytical and proble solving skills
Ability to work towards deadlines and work under pressure
Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment
Commercial awareness
