Role Purpose
The ‘Premium Processing Team’ sits within the Finance Department and manage the collection of premiums through salary deduction for life products. An opportunity has arisen on the team for an Operations Analyst. The Premium Processing Team currently operates a hybrid working model. This model requires all team members to attend the office for a minimum of one day per week, after initial training is complete.
Accountabilities of the Role
Overseeing internal procedures and controls for daily operations
Providing analysis of current workflows and regular reporting to management
Inputting into the co-ordination, planning and scheduling of the work of the Premium Processing Team to ensure the effective allocation of available resources to close out each month
Driving improvements in current processes
Dealing with employer queries and liaising with other departments to resolve them
Preparation of monthly submission requests to the various payroll departments
Processing of monthly payment files
Oversight of the refunds process

Skills & Qualifications Desired
Third level qualification or 5 years’ experience in a Finance team desired
Ability to use MS Office products, in particular an excellent knowledge of Excel
Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to interact with stakeholders at the most senior level
Highly effective project management, planning and organisational skills
An ability to critically analyse information, to solve problems and to arrive at
informed decisions
Excellent research, analytical and report writing skills
Experience working to tight deadlines with a focus on the delivery of quality work
Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment
Commercial awareness of the public sector
Behavioural Competencies Required
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated by communicating with clients, colleagues and non-technical professionals on a daily basis
The ability to work individually without direct supervision and as a dedicated member of the wider team when required
Strong analytical thinking, with an ability to problem solve
Extremely focused on putting the customer first
An ability to work at a fast pace to deadlines and targets
Fluency in spoken and written English
