Role Purpose

Due to continued growth in our Mortgage division, we require a Mortgage Support Administrator.

In Mortgage Support, you will provide administrative support to our team of Advisers and their clients through the mortgage application and drawdown process. The purpose of this role is to provide an effective and efficient administrative support service to all parties in the client mortgage journey through use of digital tools and processes and quality engagement with clients, advisers, lenders and other internal and external stakeholders.

Accountabilities of the Role

  • Lead and client query management - inbound/outbound telephone and email.

  • Assist Mortgage Advisers with oversight of new client applications in Online Applications portal to ensure timely progress to Approval in Principle.

  • Liaise extensively through telephone, MS Teams, email, and portal with various stakeholders; Adviser, lender, client, solicitor, and other Cornmarket departments to ensure efficient and effective delivery and completion for the Cornmarket Mortgage Advice service.

  • Ownership of mortgage drawdown process in lender portals to ensure all requirements for drawdown are provided by all stakeholders in the required timeframe.

  • Understand and adhere to all compliance requirements.

  • Weekly and monthly reporting duties.

  • Completing ad hoc duties as required.

  • Comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.

  • Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • 2 years' experience working in Financial Services, preferably in an administrative role.

  • Knowledge of mortgages is preferred, but not essential

  • APA Loans qualification desired but not essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational skills

  • MS Office skills

  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks

  • Ability to work on your own initiative

  • Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment

  • Commercial awareness

  • As part of the role, you will be expected to complete your QFA exams.

Controlled Function Role

This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
