Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality of our software products.
Ensuring product quality across the product lifecycle, through requirement reviews, development, UAT and release cycles is an important aspect of this role. Strong stakeholder management skills with a commitment to collaborative problem solving with the delivery team and the business is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience with building and maintaining strong robust test automation solutions and experience with Selenium, C# and SQL. Experience with Azure Dev Opps, Git and other automation technology framework is desired.
Accountabilities of the Role
Lead and develop the automated testing processes.
Assess and analyse test requirements and improvement opportunities.
Liaise with Application Architect and Software Development Manager to ensure all developed solutions are tested effectively.
Leverage and utilise industry test design patterns to deliver scalable and extensible solutions.
Display excellent problem solving and strong communication skills.
Deliver robust and high-quality testing solutions
Skills & Knowledge Required:
3+ years’ experience in automated software testing and demonstrated experience in test practices and technologies
Experience in testing infrastructure across multiple teams and platforms
Experience in automated / manual testing of web-based applications
Experience in Azure DevOps, Selenium (with C#), NUnit, MSTest, Visual Studio
Experience in testing for system integrations and APIs
Experience in the full lifecycle of defect management, setting priority and severity of defects, Root Cause Analysis etc.
Experience of working on multiple full release cycles
Automated Testing Frameworks
Exposure to Single Page Application frameworks (Angular, React)
SCRUM / Agile Experience
Strong documentation skills
Eligibility to work in Ireland on a permanent basis
Desired:
Experience with Postman, Swagger and JMeter
Experience with Salesforce
Continuous Integration with DevOps experience
API Test Automation (preferably with Rest Sharp)
Exposure to Load Testing
