Role Purpose
We are currently seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised individual to join our team as a receptionist. The receptionist will be responsible for the meeting and greeting customers in a warm and professional manner, ensuring visitors passes are completed correctly, ordering couriers and other administrative tasks as required.
Accountabilities of the Role
Meeting and greeting all customers arriving to the company and alert the relevant staff member of their arrival.
Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages and ensuring timely follow up.
Ordering couriers where required and maintain a log of all couriers requested.
Signing for any deliveries that arrives to the company throughout the day.
Providing administrative support to the Personal Insurance department and other departments as needed.
Responding to customer inquiries and providing information about our company and services.
Scheduling appointments and meetings as needed and booking meeting rooms.
Ensuring reception area is kept tidy and presentable at all times.
Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling building access via the reception desk and issuing visitor badges
Skills & Knowledge Required
Previous receptionist or administrative experience desired but not required
A professional and friendly demeanour
Strong telephone manner
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities
Resourceful and proactive attitude
