Tele Based Financial Consultants are highly motivated and driven financial advisors who work alongside our clients to determine their financial needs and in turn offer them suitable financial products. These products include salary protection schemes, life policies, PHI, pensions, retired member’s life cover and tax services. The financial assessments carried out by our Consultants are done so via ease of telephone and email. This is a target driven role in a busy sales environment.

All Tele Based Financial Consultants receive an 8 week extensive training course prior to commencement within the role. Full QFA status or progression towards QFA qualification is desirable. However, full educational support will be provided for consultants who do not have this qualification.

Accountabilities of the Role

  • Selling particular life policies via email and telephone to include; salary protection schemes, life policies, PHI, pensions, retired member’s life cover and tax services

  • Delivering a consistent, high level of professional customer service with focus on enhancing the customer experience at every stage and interaction

  • Reaching or exceeding assigned sales goals and targets based on the selling of financial products

  • Responding to a variety of different customer lead sources in a professional manner; inbound calls, web enquiries, emails referrals etc.

  • Building quality, long-term relationships with our customers by providing an efficient and specialised service to customers

  • Providing best practice financial advice

  • Retaining existing business sold via the life sales external and internal team

  • Dealing with cancellation calls in relation to salary protection, pensions, or savings policies

  • Performing duties in a compliant manner in accordance with our policies and procedures and maintaining commercial awareness relevant to this role

  • Complying with risk control and regulatory requirements relevant to this role

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Ideally the candidate will hold APA or full QFA qualification, however we will support in attaining such qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess both sales and customer service experience

  • Previous experience in financial services is advantageous but not essential

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets

  • Highly customer focused with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to tasks in a busy environment

  • Excellent PC skills

  • Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment

  • Commercial awareness

Controlled Function

This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
