The ‘Premium Processing Team’ sits within the Finance Department in Cornmarket. It is an experienced and dedicated team who focus on the administrative tasks involved in processing thousands of premiums each month. This is a fixed term contact for 9 months and will be a hybrid working model once initially trained.
Role Purpose
An opportunity has arisen on the team for a “Finance Project Manager”. This will involve managing ongoing and new projects, such as:
The implementation of a new Secure File Transfer Protocol to public sector payrolls
Analysis of Premium Variances on a monthly basis
Amalgamations of public sector payrolls
Assistance with a new Automated Salary Deductions Project
Applications are invited from candidates with a proven record of managing and delivering multiple projects, and with an extensive knowledge of the financial services industry.
Accountabilities of the Role
The implementation of the Sharepoint file library for transferring and receiving files with over 250 employers.
Management of the Premium Analysis Process and review of all employer payments.
The conversion of new centralised public sector payrolls.
Working with the Client Services Manager in the development of a new automated salary deductions system.
Driving improvements to the current processes to reduce time, cost and risk.
Skills & Qualifications
Third level qualification or 5 years’ experience in a Finance team desired
Qualified Finance Advisor and / or Project Management qualification preferential
Excellent knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills that build strong relationships and trust within the project group
Possess excellent IT skills with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in delivering projects within agreed timelines
Behavioural Competencies Required
Strong analytical thinking, with an ability to problem solve
An ability to work at a fast pace to deadlines and targets
Fluency in spoken and written English
